vengeance is a dish best served cold

  Earlier in school, Anna, being a video game fanatic, brought a copy of an old Games Master issue. She was flipping through some pages when Janine's trained eye caught a glimpse of "her" Cloud (the guy from Final Fantasy). Janine then started going ooooon and oooooon about how cute "Cloud my palalabs" is. Then she had an argument with our friend Jean about who gets to "keep him".

  Then she saw a picture of a girl on the same page as Cloud. Janine threw a tantrum. So did Jean.

  When I asked why, she told me that girl was Tifa Lockheart, Cloud's ka-love team.

  Ohhhhhhhhhh. So thaaaaaaaaaat's the Tifa I've heard so much about.

  So Janine and Jean both hate her because she stole Cloud, and Anna hates her because of her very... inflated... chest. And I hate her.. well, mainly because she's pretty. And partly because a certain someone I know has a crush on her. But mainly because she's pretty.

  So we agreed to form the Anti-Tifa Society.

  I tried searching for other Tifa-haters out there via Friendster groups. Surely there are thousands of boys in this world drooling over this girl, so surely the thousands of girls drooling over those boys must have in their hearts the fire of hatred burning with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns, right? It's not just me, right? Riiiiiight?

  My keywords in the search were, "anti tifa lockheart". What came out was,

   I LOVE TIFA

  TIFA LOCKHEART FOREVER

  TIFA PRETTY

   That was the "tifa lockheart" part of my search keywords. The following pages had pretty much the same idea, so I skipped to the 5th. What I found had absolutely NOTHING to do with Tifa or Final Fantasy or anything. They were the "anti" part of my search.

I'm really surprised at the number of pig-hater groups there are. More people hate pigs than Tifa Lockheart??? Pigs are good! They're cute! Why would anyone hate them? Well, maybe Muslims do, but just because they can't eat pork doesn't mean they hate pigs, right?

Anyway, the Anti-Tifa Society is gonna have their first group activity tomorrow- drawing a mustache and horns on her picture from Anna's magazine.

I'm the kind of person who gets too attached to things. Material things.

Like my pillow, Corny. Yeah I gave him a name (he's a boy pillow, too). My mom gave him to me as a pasalubong from Manila when I was about five years old. She asked me why I kept touching the pillow's corners (I don't even know myself) and so I got the idea that that it's name was Corner. That eventually evolved into Corny.

And my school bag (no name). It was the cutest shade of blue when I got it in grade three. Unfortunately, it got tired and gave up on me this year. It lasted for six years! Now the cloth on the bottom has torn.

I also have these slippers (I prefer calling them slippers over flip-flops) that I got last year in Divisoria's Night Cafe'. The pink strap has faded now and an imprint of my feet has been formed on the black base due to constant use. My mom doesn't like them now cuz she says they look old (but I think she just thinks they're baduy). So she got me new shiny-strapped green ones recently. I prefer using my old pair. They're very versatile and match pretty much anything.

But I can also get attatched to inanimate objects and then lose interest after a while.

Like when I was a kid, I found a rock in a swimming pool. I gave it a name (one that is too embarassing to reveal online). My dad and I had this game of throwing it somewhere far and diving to get it back. But then some kids got it first, and I was left rockless. My dad even talked to those kids and said, "That's her rock." Hahahaha! I got the rock back and I put it in the aquarium later that day. I don't know where it is now.

I think I'll end this post here. I'm getting a looooot of flashbacks hehehe.

on guys and one week sem breaks

It's November once again. For members of the Co family, we can easily equate this month to endless practices and stupid dance moves.

Okay, so I might have exaggerated a bit. Our practices aren't endless; they only last 3 hours and come only twice a week. And some dance moves aren't stupid.

See, we always have to present something for our grandfather's birthday. Last year it was The Sound of Music and the year before that it was The Phantom of the Opera.

This year, the theme is "retro".

We, the Teenagers (-that's the term all the adults use to call all the grandchildren 13 and up. We used to be the Kids but now that's Caitlin's generation) are dancing to that Papaya song. The Kids get "Kung Fu Fighting". Or some title similar to that.

So I spent lots of time with my cousins. I'm closest with Doods (his real name's Jess).

I ask him a lot of questions about how he and his girlfriend are doing. And I sure learned a LOT...

One thing I learned is that girls get mad more often than guys do. He told me he never has never gotten mad or annoyed at his girlfriend before.

And another thing I learned is that guys are clueless most of the time. When a girl does get mad at him, he's usually left with big question marks over his head. From a female's point of view, I guess we do make the wrong assumption sometimes that guys always know the reason why we feel, act and think the way we do.

One other thing I discovered, based on several other guys, is that when a girl he really likes starts acting differently (by "differently" I mean cold and uncaring) it drives him nuts. In some cases, he'll act like it doesn't affect him at all but inside it'll slowly eat him away.

Well that's it. In other news, I just found out today that tomorrow's the start of class!! I had always thought sem break was two weeks long!

Grrrrrrr. Well, enjoy the 9 hours of sem break left.
